2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport price, changes, specs – The Santa Fe managed to evolve greatly from its very first generation and the current model is now a very good car on the road which offers plenty of space as well as one of the best looking packages on the market to date. However, because it has been released back in 2013 it is now the perfect time for it to receive a mid-life update. The new Hyundai Santa Fe 2016 is still going to be offered with a short or long wheelbase version meaning it will offer more versatility than most others out there. While the two models share a lot of parts between them, the engine as well as part of the running gear are going to be different in order to fit the market their targeted at.
2016 Hyundai Santa Fe changes and price
Not too long ago a model has been spied testing in Europe, model which was heavily camouflaged and didn’t show too much about its exterior or interior. However, just a few days ago a few cars have been spotted in South Korea without any type of camouflage and the result is actually quite nice considering this is just a mid-cycle update. Even though these have been sighted in Korea, the US as well as the European models are likely going to be very similar to that car. The 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe release date should be closer than we first thought and we actually expect it to be released on the US market some time at the end of 2015. Its price will likely stay around $31,000 for the long wheelbase version and closer to $25,000 for the short wheelbase model.

New Hyundai Santa Fe 2016 specs
So, what is the difference between the two? Well, the Sport model only comes with five seats and lesser engines while the normal one comes with either six or seven seats, depending on what the buyer wants, as well as a more powerful engine. The new Hyundai Santa Fe 2016 will likely see no changes under the hood so the Sport model will come equipped either with a naturally aspirated 2.4 liter inline 4 good for 190 horsepower while its top trim level will get a 2.0 liter turbocharged inline 4 good for 264 horsepower which is more than enough for a family crossover. The long wheelbase version on the other hand will only come with a naturally aspirated 3.3 liter V6 which will offer 290 horsepower but with a cost, a worse fuel consumption than the 2.0 liter model. All of them though will come equipped as standard with a 6 speed automatic while in Europe a manual is also going to be available on certain cars.
2016 Hyundai Santa Fe redesign
Inside the cabin of the new Santa Fe there are not going to be that many changes over the ongoing model but we do expect slightly better safety equipment installed as standard as well as slightly better materials, both on the Sport as well as on the regular model.
The exterior of the 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe on the other hand is a completely different story. The model seen in Korea shows a slightly different back end with a tweaked bumper, a new design for its tail lights as well as new rectangular exhaust pipes. In the front it comes with new headlights with a 3D design, a chromed grille which is now slightly deeper in the front bumper and it now features only three chrome bars rather than four like the old model. The bumper has also been modified so it will now offer LED fog-lights as well as a slightly different air intake on the lower part of it. The wheels are also going to be new and this time the Sport may also receive the larger rims of the regular Santa Fe.
